It is my routine every morning to browse the newspaper. As I open one of my favorite sections (World News), I saw news about President Barack Obama’s star-studded Hollywood fundraiser. It is the time that I found out that he will allow same-sex marriage (the first U.S. President to allow the act). A lot of known people, celebrities, especially the gay-lesbian community, applaud this action. Meanwhile, at the side of this article reads about German foreign minister, Guido Westerwelle’s hail to President Obama’s stance. Guido Westerwelle is open to his gay status.
Somehow the news doesn’t surprise me. I’m aware that several individuals and groups will support this step and someday it will be legalize.
Although anticipated and aware that the US is a liberated country, I’m still disappointed to know that the act was allowed in the country that banners the motto, “In God We Trust”. This step is definitely not an act of trusting God.
Marriage is a holy matrimony from God and He despises sexual acts between same sexes. There are lots of verses in the bible that supports how God hates homosexuality, including calling it an abomination and sodomy, and the homosexual people, sodomite, from the name of the place Sodom, where God burned and destroyed because of wickedness including homosexuality.
In relation to the topic, I saw a picture in a social networking site in which the author expressed the immaturity of opposing the same-sex marriage.
God’s laws do not change. Jesus says Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. (Matthew 24:35) God’s law will not adjust according to earth’s current trend. His law even commanded us not to conform to this world (Romans 12:2) or do not go with the flow.
God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for this sinful act. This is also one of the reasons why He filled the earth with flood during Noah’s time. This will also be the reason that will fulfill the prophecies in Revelation; God will pour His wrath on earth, and unbelievers will experience tribulations that never happened before.
Here are bible verses that demonstrate God’s hatred towards homosexuality.
