Does the Controversies Involving Christianity Proves that it is a False Religion?

Why Christianity involves in a lot of controversies? Time and time, there are news and discoveries that discredits Christianity’s credibility.  There are the Da Vinci Code, other gospels, the Inquisition and other ungodly acts from believers themselves. Do these prove that Christianity is a false religion? If not, why Christianity does have so many controversies?

Compares to other religion, Christianity is the most, if not the only, controversial religion. But instead of destroying its credibility, these controversies only strengthen Christianity’s claim of being a true religion. How? By fulfilling the prophecies and materializing the warnings in the bible.

The bible has already warned Christians from false teachings, prophets and persecutions as early as the time of our Lord Jesus Christ. And being the true religion, Christianity is the apple in the eyes of the devil.

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils. – 1 Timothy 4:1

Being the true religion, the devil has been attacking Christianity and God’s people since the birth of humanity. When there was still no distinguished God’s religion, the devil has been attacking people of God; from Eve, Adam, Joseph the dreamer, Moses, king David, king Solomon, Job, and other men of God. The devil stroked them in the form of discouragement, temptation, suffering, etc. But when God has established His church and provided One salvation for all humanity, the devil has not only attacking Christians, but the church as well.

Knowing that his time is coming near, he is doing everything in his power to deceive people and to draw as much as he can in hell with him. In order to do this, he has to deceive or confuse people on the true religion and church.

The devil is smart and tricky. These controversies that involve Christianity are one of his craft. He knows what is the true religion and church and he is preventing people to believe in it. He is doing this by spreading lies and rumors about Christianity and taking advantage of Christians’ vulnerability. The result will cause doubt, criticism and even despise from non-believers.

But what about other religions? Why are they haven’t been involved in controversies? The reason is that they haven’t been touched by the devil. He only has his eyes for Christians and Christianity. As long as you’re not a Christian, it is enough for him.

Here are other bible verses about deception.

For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him. For I suppose I was not a whit behind the very chiefest apostles. – 2 Corinthians 11:4-5

For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. – 2 John 1:7-11

And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. – Revelation 20:2-3

But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not. – 2 Peter 2:1-3
